DARF Cold Regular Pressed Dog Food

I'm giving this a one star rating simply because it didn't agree with my dog's stomach at all. She was having very, very large bowel movements around 5 times a day, if not more.
Now, Daisy does seem to be sensitive to all kibble. She was on a BARF diet which suited her so incredibly well.
We were moving home, and I had a period of a few weeks before my fridge freezer arrived. It's arriving tomorrow, so we will be back to her normal diet, and I will be ordering from Fetch Your Pet Needs. In fact, I'll be placing my order in a few minutes.
So, in all, I hoped that she would respond better to the DARF food, but I ended up having to feed her chicken, mackerel and eggs.
As I said, she'll have a very happy gut when she returns to her Approved Raw dog food. 😊

Thank you for your honest review and for sharing Daisy's experience — we're sorry to hear the cold-pressed food didn’t agree with her. For dogs used to a raw (BARF) diet, the transition to cold-pressed or kibble can definitely result in noticeable changes in stool, including significantly larger volumes. This is quite common, as raw diets are typically much more nutrient-dense and lower in fillers.

That said, compared to many traditional kibble brands that are high in carbohydrates, cold-pressed food usually still produces cleaner, more formed, and less smelly stools — one of its benefits over standard kibble, though of course not quite on par with raw.

We’re glad to hear Daisy will be back on her preferred raw diet soon, and we hope her gut health gets right back on track. If you ever decide to try cold-pressed again in the future, we’re always happy to offer support or transition advice. Wishing you both the very best in your new home!

It retains more nutrients than most standard dry kibble, so it will help promote your dog's wellness and give them all the essential nutrients and minerals they need.

What is cold-pressed dog food?

Cold pressed dog food differs from traditional dry dog food because of how the ingredients are processed. The ingredients in conventional dog food are extruded at high temperatures (around 120 degrees) and as a consequence, many nutrients are damaged or destroyed and don't make it to your dog's bowl.

In contrast, when food is Cold Pressed, the raw ingredients are processed gently and at much lower temperatures (around 80 degrees). As a result, the food retains more essential nutrients to support your dog's health.

Another plus for cold pressed food is that it doesn't expand in the dog's stomach in the way that dry extruded food does – it simply dissolves when it enters the stomach. Because of this, cold pressed food is much less likely to cause bloat.

Great lickmat

Got these after the dogs keeps “shaving” off the rubber with their teeth on the regular style. Works well. The rubber shavings on the regular ones kept clogging the dishwasher spray arm.
