Raw Necessity - Starter Pack

Welcome to raw feeding, we promise you will never regret the decision to feed your dog a fresh diet.

What is in the Raw Necessity Starter Pack?

  • Single Protein Turkey 80:10:10 - Turkey with organ and bone
  • Single Protein Beef Speciality - Beef with beef heart and trachea

Which size pack should I order?

The size of box you order will depend on the size of your dog. For dogs under 15kg, we recommend the 4kg box. For dogs over 15kg, we recommend the 8kg or 16kg box.

What do I feed first?

It is best to start with the options that contain bone so for the first 4 days, feed Turkey 80:10:10, then feed 2 days of Beef Speciality. From there you can alter each day.

Transitioning to Raw:

There is no strict exact way to switch to raw, just like humans, every dog is different. We have helped many pet owners change their dog’s diet to raw food and here is what we have learned over the years.

Sensitive Dogs – If your dog has recurring stomach upset then we recommend transitioning slowly. The best way to do this is to slowly introduce raw food into their diet each day, as you increase the raw quantity, decrease the dry quantity.

No issue Dogs – So you have not seen any issues with your dog’s digestive tract, they have stomachs of steel then you can fire ahead and do a straight switch if you like. 95% of our clients have done a straight switch with no issues.

Switching from dry to raw can be very similar to switching from different brands of dry food. The raw dog food diet is not scary, it is fantastic!

Nutritional Analysis

Feeding Guidelines

For active dogs, it’s recommended that you feed 3% of their adult body weight.

With moderately active dogs, it’s recommended that you feed 2.5% of their adult body weight.

And for sedentary dogs that are neutered, senior dogs, and dog breeds that are prone to weight gain, it’s recommended that you feed 2% of their adult body weight.

Always remember that when your dog is neutered their metabolism slows significantly, therefore it’s important to take this into account when reading feeding guidelines.

Happy Dogs thanks to you guys

This store is excellent — we definitely need more stores like this!
They have such great knowledge and common sense when it comes to what dogs actually need to eat. I really think people need to be better educated about proper dog nutrition, rather than being led down the wrong path and buying poor-quality food that isn’t suitable for their dogs.
Every time I’m in the area, I pop in and stock up with a large order, and if I’m not nearby, I’m more than happy to order online.
Thank you for such a fantastic facility and for all the great advice and guidance you’ve given me over the last few years. It’s very much appreciated!

Really like the ingredients. I hope these supplements will help my dog live a long, happy, and comfortable life.
But, to be honest, my dog doesn’t really like them, probably some ingredient doesn’t taste good.
He is a very picky eater.
