Holistic Hound Fundamentals Healthy Heart 50ml

The herbs selected work to optimise cardiac input, enhance vascular performance, reduce oedema (fluid retention) and minimise oxidative stress within the body. The herbs selected work to optimise cardiac input, enhance vascular performance, reduce oedema (fluid retention) and minimise oxidative stress within the body.

Just like humans, heart health is a growing concern with many dogs, in particular in those breeds which may be predisposed to cardiac concerns. On top of this, nutrition, a more sedentary lifestyle, and weight management all have an impact on your dog’s heart health.

They make your heart a’flutter with their big “feed me” eyes, but support their ticker’s normal healthy function with a daily cardiovascular health supplement.

This blend of herbs has been specifically formulated to provide targeted support to your dog’s cardiovascular system. The herbs contain antioxidants to neutralise free-radicals and maintain normal vascular health.

Key Benefits

  • Supports the heart
  • Aids in circulation
  • Reduces fluid retention
  • Minimises free radical damage
  • 100% Natural
  • Handmade in Ireland

Ingredients

Hawthorn Berry: Hawthorn berry helps support the general function of the heart, maintaining normal blood pressure and cardiac muscle function. Hawthorn is a rich source of natural flavonoids.

Ginkgo: The most helpful components of Ginkgo are believed to be flavonoids, which support normal circulation.

DanShen (Salvia miltiorrhiza): Danshen has long been used to support heart and circulatory health.

Ginseng: Ginseng is a well-known immune support, supporting the body in times of stress or fatigue. The key ingredients of ginseng are ginsenosides, which support normal vasomotor function, blood pressure, and cardiac function.

Gotu Kola: Gotu Kola contains compounds such as triterpenoid saponins which help maintain blood vessel  integrity, and peripheral blood circulation.

Dandelion Leaf: Dandelion is a nearly perfect whole food source of vitamins and minerals. It’s easily absorbed by the body. The leaves are rich in Vitamins A, C, K, D and B complex, Zinc, iron, calcium, manganese, phosphorus and a super-rich source of potassium,  vitamins which are important in cardiac health. Dandelion is a potent antioxidant, neutralising free radicals in the body.

Ashwagandha: Ashwagandha supports the ability of the body to cope with stress and is a powerful antioxidant which neutralises free radicals.

Allergy

Really like the ingredients. I hope these supplements will help my dog live a long, happy, and comfortable life.
But, to be honest, my dog doesn’t really like them, probably some ingredient doesn’t taste good.
He is a very picky eater.

Wanted a smaller kibble for my large dog

I bought this food for my large breed dog as I wanted a smaller kibble to make it go further in food scattering and so on. This kibble is really small! But my dog bites each individual kibble just as she did the bigger one, and now we get much more fun from feeding time, it feels like she has double the portion even if it's the same amount in weight.

Cookie has some belly issues that came with age

Cookie has some belly issues that came with age and since I added this food he seems much better. We will mix it with some fresh food for variety but so far I am content.

Great chews (especially if frozen)!

I cut these trachea “tubes” in half and they make a great chew for my dogs! Sometimes I stuff them (who needs a Kong?) and have even fed entire meals stuffed in a trachea and then frozen. Defrosted they tend to get swallowed in large pieces and the dogs don’t get the chewing benefits, but overall they are a hit!
